An Evolution in Indirect Decompression for Vertical & Angular Instability
Minuteman® G6 is the next evolution of the Minuteman family—engineered for tissue-sparing, direct-access stabilization of vertical and angular segmental instability.
Built on the proven Minuteman platform, G6 refines how physicians lift, balance, realign, and secure the lumbar motion segment through a simplified surgical workflow and upgraded instrumentation.
Innovative Design Upgrades
- Single-Knob Inserter with Integrated Torque-limiting Control
Streamlined instrumentation with tactile feedback and a built-in torque limiter designed to restrict over-advancement and overtightening. - Minimally Disruptive Tissue Retractor Profile
An access corridor intended to minimize tissue disruption while maintaning procedure control. - Fluoroscopic Depth-Reference Marker on the Implant Body
A bold midline reference engineered to be clearly visible under fluoroscopy, providing a visual cue for controlled advancement and a natural stopping point. - HAnano-coated Implant Surface
Features a nano-structured hydroxyapatite coating approximately 4,000× smaller than conventional HA, designed to promote earlier bone on-growth and fusion response. - Bilateral Wing Deployment (Ipsilateral and Contralateral)
Controlled deployment on both sides of the implant for segmental engagement and stabilization.
The Problem We Solve
Lumbar stenosis isn’t just narrowing—it’s instability.
Many patients suffer from:
- Vertical Instability (VI)
Disc collapse, height loss, neural compression - Angular Instability (AI)
Pathologic flexion–extension motion, facet overload
These patterns drive claudication, mechanical back pain, and radicular symptoms—often visible only on flexion–extension imaging.
Durable relief requires more than decompression—it requires stabilization.
The Minuteman Solution
Minuteman® G6 is designed to:
- Lift: Restore posterior and foraminal height
- Balance: Normalize posterior load-sharing
- Realign: Control abnormal angular motion
- Secure: Stabilize the segment for fusion
Same Minuteman Philosophy. More Refined Execution.
Why G6 is Different
Minuteman® G6 evolves the proven Minuteman platform with refinements focused on precision, efficiency, and minimally invasive control:
- Direct Access Approach
Lateral access enables controlled, tissue-sparing deployment - Upgraded Instrumentation
Enhanced fluoroscopic visualization, reduced facet interference, and controlled segmental distraction. - Simplified Surgical Workflow
Streamlined, stepwise procedural sequence for reproducible deployment. - Tissue-Sparing Design
Minimizes anatomical disruption while achieving fixation and fusion.
Controlled Distraction • Direct Segmental Access • Precise Wing Deployment
How G6 Treats VI & AI
(Vertical Instability & Angular Instability)
Minuteman® G6 directly addresses the mechanical drivers of pain:
- Lifts the collapsed segment
- Restricts abnormal flexion–extension
- Stabilizes vertical height
- Maintains alignment through fusion
Mechanical Problem. Mechanical Solution.
Minuteman G6 MIS Fusion Implant
HAnano™ Surface Technology
Minuteman® G6 incorporates HAnano™ nano-scale surface technology:
-
- Enhance implant-to-bone contact
- Support early cellular attachment
- Optimize the fusion environment
All without altering the minimally invasive procedural profile.

Indications for Use
The Minuteman® G6 Fusion Plate is a posterior, non-pedicle fusion device, intended for use at a single interspace in the non-cervical spine (L1-S1). It is intended for plate fixation/attachment to spinous processes for the purpose of achieving instrumented posterior arthrodesis (i.e., fusion) in the following conditions:
-
- Lumbar Spinal Stenosis;
- Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) (defined as back pain of discogenic origin with degeneration of the disc confirmed by history and radiographic studies); and/or
- Spondylolisthesis.
The Minuteman® G6 MIS Fusion Plate is intended for use with bone graft material. The device may be implanted via a lateral transverse approach (L1-S1).
Physician Perspective
Tim Deer, MD
“Minuteman G6 reflects a thoughtful progression—supporting stabilization through a minimally invasive, tissue-sparing, direct access approach. This is exactly the type of advancement we need in interventional spine.”
