Area Sales Director

Spinal Simplicity is seeking an Area Sales Director to lead growth and execution across a defined territory. This role is responsible for building strong surgeon and hospital relationships, expanding procedure adoption, and developing a high-performing sales team while maintaining a relentless focus on patient-first outcomes and uncompromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

    • Own territory strategy, forecasting, and revenue performance across assigned accounts.

    • Develop and strengthen relationships with spine surgeons, interventional pain physicians, hospital leadership, and supply chain.

    • Drive product utilization through education, in-servicing, and procedure support.

    • Lead, coach, and develop Territory Managers/Clinical Specialists; set goals, run field rides, and elevate performance.

    • Coordinate case coverage and ensure exceptional execution in the OR/ASC environment.

    • Partner cross-functionally (marketing, clinical, operations) to remove barriers and accelerate adoption.

    • Maintain compliance with all company policies and applicable industry regulations.

    • Provide market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to guide strategy.

Qualifications

    • 7+ years of medical device sales experience; spine, orthopedics, or procedural experience strongly preferred.

    • 2+ years of sales leadership experience (people leadership preferred; strong team lead experience considered).

    • Proven track record of exceeding quota and growing complex accounts.

    • Strong business acumen: pipeline management, forecasting, and territory planning.

    • Comfortable in clinical environments with ability to support cases and educate clinicians.

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within territory (including early mornings/evenings as cases require).

    • Consistent achievement of revenue and adoption goals.

    • Expanded surgeon base and deeper account penetration.

Clinical Specialist

Spinal Simplicity is seeking a Clinical Specialist to support physician partners and clinical teams in the safe, effective use of our minimally invasive spine solutions. This role is hands-on and field-based, providing case coverage, product education, and in-servicing to help drive procedure success and an exceptional customer experience—always with a patient-first mindset and uncompromising attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site case support in hospitals and ASCs, including pre-case setup, intra-procedure support, and post-case follow-up.

  • Educate surgeons, OR staff, and sterile processing teams on product use, workflows, and best practices.

  • Support product adoption through training, demos, and consistent follow-through across assigned accounts.

  • Ensure proper inventory management, instrument readiness, and coordination for scheduled cases.

  • Troubleshoot clinical and product-related questions in the field and escalate issues appropriately.

  • Partner with Sales to support account plans, identify opportunities, and strengthen relationships.

  • Maintain accurate case documentation and comply with all company policies and applicable regulations.

  • Represent Spinal Simplicity professionally in clinical settings with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant clinical/OR experience considered.

  • 2+ years of experience in medical device, OR, surgical tech, nursing, or related clinical support role preferred.

  • Experience in spine, orthopedics, or procedural environments strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working in fast-paced clinical settings.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to train and support diverse clinical teams.

  • Ability to lift and move instrument trays/product kits and stand for extended periods during cases.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory; early mornings/evenings as cases require.
