The Minuteman G1 is a minimally invasive, interspinous interlaminar fusion device. It is designed for attachment to the spinous processes through its bilateral locking plates, and it is intended for use with bone graft fusion material placed within the device. The Minuteman’s stabilization and fusion of the spinous processes is designed to treat patients afflicted with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, and spondylolisthesis. The unique threaded design of the Minuteman allows it to be easily placed under fluoroscopy through a lateral approach, or a posterior mini-open unilateral approach. The Minuteman implant is delivered sterile and individually packed. Minuteman G1 Instructions for Use.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
Minimally Invasive
______
Alternative to traditional pedicle screws and other spinous process plates
Ligament Preservation
______
Of the supraspinous ligament helps maintain stabilization of the spine
5 Anatomical Sizes
______
(8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, and 16mm) to accommodate variations in patient anatomy
Lateral MIS Approach
______
Eliminates the lateral dissection of the healthy tissue (neural monitoring is not required)
Safer Zone
______
Lateral MIS approach is above the facet joints, avoiding the neural and vascular structures
Threaded Body
______
Allows the implant to thread between the spinous processes in a controlled fashion.
Large Graft Window
______
Allows easy placement of bone graft material to facilitate a posterior fusion
Reversible Auto-Lock
______
Enables the device to variably tighten without compromising fixation
Sterile Packed
______
Promotes patient safety and compliance at hospitals.
